Tammy McVicar is the founder, owner and Studio Director of Dance, Etc. Studio Inc.Tammy is a graduate and former faculty member of The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Canada. She has been studying dance for 23 years and has taught for 18.  Growing up in Markham, Tammy began her studies at The Laurie Thacker School of Dance, where she bacame a junior assistant teacher at the age of 13.  During the last 12 years, Tammy has been choreographing and teaching competitive and recreational dance classes, teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro and Musical Theatre throughout the Greater Toronto Area.  Her students have won many awards at various Competitions and Dance Festivals where she has been awarded for her choreography and age appropriateness.  Tammy has had the pleasure of dancing with the late tap great, Gregory Hines and has traveled all over the United States during her career.  Her credits include Les Belles Soeurs, Dragon Ball, Troilus and Cressida, NFL Pro Bowl, NFL SkyDome, Bye Bye Birdie, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof and  Cabaret.  Her television/film experience includes The Health Show CBC, Dance Educational Video for Hoctor Productions and Breakfast Television, Toronto.  Recently, Tammy has added Dance Adjudicator to her resume and is also a member of Fight Directors Canada, Actor Combatant trained in Unarmed, Sword and Quarterstaff stage combat.
**Our teachers are Adult Dance Educators that are highly trained and qualified.  They are required each year to continue their dance education and stay up to date on all dance styles, including their area of expertise.  Dance is a constantly changing art form.  Keeping on top of the trends is essential for all great teachers.**

Kimberly McVicar has taught in Canada and the United States for the last
10 years.  She has won numerous National and World Dance Choreography
awards and has had intensive training in hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, baton and musical theater.  Kimberly has performed on MTV Music video awards and recently performed with P. Diddy.  Her professional dance credits include the Toronto Raptors, Culture Shock, T.O. Dance Force, Harlem Arts Program, and American Pro Bowl.   Ms. McVicar also has extensive film and television credits such as Improv, 99, CTV. and has just recently finished a movie called Throwing Stars. During her career she has been sponsored by TIMEX, REEBOK, NIKE and POLO SPORT and has also been published in "Photo" Magazine as NYC best dance leapers.  Kimberly will be a guest teacher at Dance Etc.

Rosemary Twyman BA Honours, RAD RTS, has been teaching dance for over 28 years. Having studied in Canada and completing her degree in Dance as a scholarship student, Ms.Twyman focused on the study of Ballet while performing primarily in Spanish Flamenco and Latin American Dance. As a Ballet Teacher, Ms. Twyman has taught all levels of Ballet and Pointe technique, (entering students for RAD Ballet exams for the past 28 years), choreographing for performances and competitions, guest teaching and adjudicating for school festivals and dance competitions both in Canada and the US. After 21 years of owning and operating a Studio in Toronto, Ms. Twyman was instrumental in implementing an integrated academic and dance program at the high school level, teaching dance for high school credit. As a result, several past students have pursued post-secondary programs at Ryerson, York and Concordia Universities, National Ballet School, Quinte, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Marymount College, Julliard, and the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. Under her direction, students are challenged and encouraged to develop their personal best whilst nurturing their passion for dance. 
Kendal has been dancing for over 15 years in ballet, tap, jazz, acro, musical theatre, and hip hop. Dancing with several dance schools in Durham and competing across the province, Kendal is an experienced performer. In 2006, Kendal earned her associates certificate for Ballet with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. She later went on to pursue her BATD associate certificate for Stage Craft, a combination of jazz, tap, and performance. Kendal is a graduate of Dunbarton High School where she won several awards for Vocal Music as well as the Musical Theatre award for her graduating class. Kendal's numerous solos, duets and trios earned her many awards at competitions over the years, including overall top score award. In addition to dance, Kendal is a fully certified artistic gymnastics and trampoline instructor with the NCCP. Currently a student at the University of Toronto, Kendal is pursuing a life science degree in Human Biology while double majoring in French.

Donna McClary brings with her 12 years of experience as a dance instructor, as well as 10 years of baton instruction.  As owner, business Director and Chief Financial Officer, Donna is responsible for teaching Adults, examinations as well as overseeing the marketing aspects of the studio.  Donna Brings with her 24 years of working in corporate business.  She holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree in business as well as a Harvard Business Marketing Certification.  Presently Donna is the senior marketing manager for the line of business at IBM.
